Functions
1. For Low-Pressure System Leak Detection:
The L100 smoke machine automotive is not only suitable for detecting leaks in automotive EVAP systems but also applicable for fuel tank ventilation, crankcase air leakage, front and rear oil seal leaks, throttle valve air leaks, intake manifold gasket leaks, exhaust pipe leaks, various joint leaks, inadequate valve closure, water ingress in oil passages, and diagnosing leaks and water noise in car windows, among other leakage test.
2. The Latest Digital Pressure Gauge:
The L100 automotive smoke machine comes with a built-in digital pressure gauge, allowing you to select from four units - Psi, Bar, Kpa, and kg/cm². It displays a range from -85 to 200 Kpa, with precision to 0.001Psi. This assists you in monitoring pressure changes effectively for leak detection and diagnosis.
3. Concealed Adjustable Flow Valve:
The L100 EVAP smoke machine leak tester comes with an adjustable flow valve, which controls the smoke output of the smoke tester. This helps eliminate interference from excessive smoke and accurately locate leaks. Rotate clockwise to reduce flow and counterclockwise to increase flow.
4. 1/2 PSIG Smart Pressure Relief Valve:
Specially designed for EVAP system smoke leak detection, the intelligent pressure relief valve of EVAP smoke machine can reduce any external gas source pressure to 1/2PSIG, effectively safeguarding hoses and smoke leak detector.
L100 Smoke Detection Generic Operation
1. Mount the hook on to the unit. Mount the shop air adapter to the unit.
2. Plug the power cord into the socket. Screw on the smoke hose to the unit.
3. Fill (Pink baby Oil not includes) smoke oil into the unit from the refill port on the top. Note: please add about 15ml, not more.
4. Connect shop air supply. Connect 12V vehicle power. please make sure enough 12V.
5. Introduce shop air to the unit. Turn the Flow Dial anti-clockwise to open the air flow.
6. Switch on the power or the mode selector button, then the unit will start to work. Introduce smoke into the system.
7. The system will be ready for leak check in 2 minutes. Use a bright light torch or working lamp to assist.
8. After test, switch off the power or the mode selector button, then the unit will start to work.
9. Collect the Smoke Hose and the Power Cord with the Velcro Straps for storage. Hang the unit or make it stand in UPRIGHT position only. Do NOT lay it down.
