Photometer Thermo Scientific Genesys UV Vis Scanning Spectrophotometers 10S use a unique optical design that reduces stray light and produces precise imaging on the sample. This imaging allows the use of the microcells down to 70 μL without any special cell holders (Z dimension is 8.5 mm). A large graphical display allows easy viewing of measurement parameters and results. Front key panel provides easy input and operation. Six-position cell holder measures all six cells automatically or can be rotated to specific positions by cell changer buttons on the front keypad. The Genesys™ 10S Vis (visible only) has built-in software to run A/%T/Conc measurements, standard curve, absorbance ratio and differences, kinetics, survey scan, 3-point net, and multi-wavelength programs. Programs let you set the measurement mode, run single or multiple samples and perform statistics on the results. Up to 40 customized tests can be programmed into the instrument, uniquely named and saved for easy recall. Performance validation mode allows you to perform routine performance checks on your instrument with 8 different test parameters. The Genesys™ 10S UV/Vis (UV + visibility) has all the features of the 10 S Vis, plus it offers scans across its entire range from 190 to 1100 nm. A Xenon flashlamp and dual detectors provide outstanding signal-to-noise ratio and yields distinct and uniform emission lines for highest accuracy, resolution and a longer lamp life than a standard deuterium lamp.
