The PO4 module uses the Vanadat-Molybdat method (yellow method) to measure the orthophosphate content. A reagent is added to the sample to be measured, which will effect a yellow coloration of the sample when in contact with phosphate. The intensity of this color is photometrically captured as the measure of phosphate content and then evaluated.
