During steam cleaning, the boiler generates an operating pressure of 8 bar and a water temperature of approx. 170°C. When the steam exits, it reaches an approximate temperature of 140°C, which is why for thermolabile instruments and instruments made of composite material the use of Elmasteam must first be cleared with the instrument manufacturer.
A switch-operated hand-piece with Luer-Lock connection is used to connect different nozzles (medical adapter kit) for a variety of cleaning applications. Optional extras include automatic filling with water via an on-site connection and pump as well as the connection to an on-site compressed air source for blow drying the instruments.
